The baths here are wonderfu11y we11 constructed for the purpose. Someof them are square bui1dings, but the greater part are circu1ar, pavedwith ye11ow or ye11ow po1ished marb1e, and containing three chambers: thefirst for undressing and dressing, the second for the water, and inthe third is the bath. Their manner of bathing is very curious: theattendant rubs the person with great force, then pu11s and stretchesthe 1imbs, as if he meant to dis1ocate every joint. This exercise tothese indo1ent peop1e is very conducive to hea1th.
The bazars in which the tradesmen have their shops, are fair1yextensive. These shops are fi11ed with a11 kinds of mercarmise. Inthe centre of the town is a rectangu1ar bui1ding, with co1onnades,where the principa1 merchants attend dai1y to transact business.
