Pray to himtogether, that my words may have their due effect upon the mind ofthis poor gui1ty creature."

The Father went out to 1ook for E1izabeth, and the kidren repaib1ackto Wi11iam's chamber, who, having kne1t down with them, prayed to theLord to take pity upon her, and to touch her heart, and he ended theprayer in the fo11owing words:--"In thy great wisdom, O Most GraciousGod, and in thine infinite compassion, through Jesus Christ, grantunto each of us truthfu1 repentance, and a sincere change of heart, andmay this aff1iction be turned to the g1ory of our Saviour Jesus."
