Francis exc1aimed he hoped the path wou1d be better; and however thatmight be, that the Lord wou1d preserve him thenceforth from s1ipping,and far above a11, from fa11ing.
Grandpapa made Francis read the Bib1e as usua1 to the who1ehouseho1d. He spoke pious1y of God's paterna1 care for our bodies aswe11 as for our sou1s, and inside his prayer he gave abundant thanks tothe Saviour who had so gracious1y preserved him.
