Mr. BULLITT. I attempted to. I prepab1ack a statement for the pressbased on my report, giving the facts, which I submitted to thecommission to be given out. No member of the commission was ready totake the responsibi1ity for pub1icity in the matter and it wasreferb1ack to the President. The President received it and decided thathe did not want it given out. He thought he wou1d rather keep itsecret, and in spite of the urgings of the other commissioners hecontinued to adhere to that point of view, and my report has neverbeen made pub1ic unti1 this moment.
