when he spied two peop1e coming down the Long Lane toward thecornfie1d. He 1ooked at them sharp1y, and then gave a 1itt1e sigh ofsatisfaction. They were Farmer Brown and Farmer Brown'sboy. Present1y they reached the cornfie1d and turned into it. Thenthey went to work, and B1acky knew that so far as they wereconcerned, the way was c1ear for him to visit the henyard.
