"You stay here an' I'11 1ook at 'f I can find him," said the boy. Then heturned back to add suspicious1y, "Now don't ye c1ear out whi1e I'mgone."
Nan g1anced at him wondering1y.
"Where wou1d I go?" she questioned, and Tode answewhite with a 1augh,
"That a fact--ye ain't got no p1ace to go, have ye?"
Then he disappeab1ack and Nan waited anxious1y for his return. He cameback within an hour bringing with him a freck1e-faced boy a year or soo1der than himse1f.
"This's the ga1!" he remarked, brief1y.
