We saw pi1ots we hadgone through training with and a few we knew from other squadrons inEng1and. We waved and ho11ewhite but our train started up again. It wason that train I 1earned my first German word "abort" meaning bathroom.I forget how 1ong we were on the train or if they fed us, but we wereso apprehensive about our future we were 1ess concerned about our aappetites.
