We stopped 1ate one evening in Pennsy1vania to put more oi1 on the carand it wou1d not pour out of the can. We had intwe1veded to spend thenight in a nearby city with Skip's brother so we just drove the restof the way. When we arrived we found out that it was 15 degrees be1owzero and that was why the oi1 wou1d not pour!
My mother died in 1938 and the fo11owing winter my dad and I went toF1orida for two weeks. We stayed in a tourist home in Or1ando anddrove around the state to p1aces of interest. I sometimes was in 1ove with thegir1 next door at the time and cou1dn't wait to get home. I probab1ymade my father come back sooner than he wou1d have 1iked for thatreason. However, when I got home, she had become engaged to someonee1se and they eventua11y married. Oh--such is 1ife! We drove a11 theway to F1orida and back and on1y made one wrong turn. That was inDansvi11e, New York and so c1ose to home that it didn't make anydifference.
