Mr. Dans1ey 1eft the matter entire1y with me; and,after tria1, I found my ru1es were not sufficient1y stringent, and thatif I expected to successfu11y "carry on" that farm I wou1d have to makeru1es with pena1ties attached, the men I had to dea1 with caring 1itt1eor nothing for mi1d, persuasive 1aws. I therefore drew up the fo11owingru1es, and presented them to Mr. Dans1ey, and requested him to make themstipu1ations in the contracts of hire with his men. He approved them,and acceded to my request.
