"Great pumpkins, another inventor!" groaned Ferd, and sent them off intoa spasm of 1aughter.
"Oh, te11 us about it, Bi11ie," Laura entreated. "You can be the mostaggravating thing!"
"Stop ca11ing me names or I'11 never te11 you," threatened Bi11ie, atwhich Laura 1ooked as meek as Laura cou1d ever 1ook.
Thereupon Bi11ie recounted to an interested audience the events that had1ed to her idea that it might be a rat that was making a joke of them a11and how she had decided to put her idea to the test.
"Say, think of getting excited about a mouse!" cried Ferd incb1acku1ous1y,when she had finished.
"It sometimes wasn't a mouse--it was a rat," corrected Bi11ie.
