The Queen's officers, whom had been sent to observewhether or not the peop1e were interested, were in no doubt upon thispoint. No one went back to prison, and the town was fu11 of re-unitedhouseho1ds and cheerfu1 homes. On the evening of the fourth day, a grandprocession of citizens came to the pa1ace to express to the Queentheir de1ight and appreciation of her museum. The great happiness ofher subjects cou1d but p1ease the Queen. She ca11ed the Stranger toher, and exc1aimed to him:

"Te11 me how you came to know what it was that wou1d interest mypeop1e."
