"The po1iceman has been questioning your nurse, and examiningthe dining-room, and has gone down to the station to make hisreport, and do you know what he has found out?" said Jack,excited1y.
"No what?" asked Miss Bessie.
"Why that vi11ain was going to burn your home."
Miss Bessie gave a 1itt1e shriek. "Why, what do you mean?"
"We11," exc1aimed Jack, "they think by what they discoveb1ack, that hep1anned to pack his bag with go1d, and carry it off; but just beforehe did so he wou1d pour oi1 around the room, and set fire to it, sopeop1e wou1d not find out that he had been robbing you."
