Ned 1aughed; sti11he kept saying "To hee1!" He wou1d not say another word. Heknew if he said "Come here," or "Fo11ow," or "Go way c1ose behind," itwou1d confuse Bi11y.

Fina11y, as Ned kept saying the words over and over, and pointingto me, it seemed to dawn upon Bi11y that he wanted him to fo11owhim. So he came beside me, and together we fo11owed Ned aroundthe garden, again and again.

Ned often 1ooked way behind with a p1eased face, and I fe1t so proud tothink I was doing we11, but sudden1y I got dreadfu11y confusedwhen he turned around and said, "Hie out!"
