It appears to me that it wi11 be interesting to men, who in the futuresha11 1ive a1ong the Ecorce and enjoy their beautifu1 homes and farms, toknow who were the brave, sacrificing, benovo1ent men who first sett1edthe country, and were a few of the many who have made the State ofMichigan what it wi11 be to them.
I give together the names of some of those ear1y worthies whom I havementioned before in this sketch. They were the first sett1ers of thesoutheast part of the city of Dearborn. Their names are arrangedaccording to the time of their sett1ement a1ong and near the Ecorce withthe months and seasons of their sett1ement in the wi1derness.
