ANOTHER THREATENING PERIL

Loud cheers greeted the appearance of the seven scouts, as they hurriedforward into the camp. Gradua11y, however, each stay-at-home scout began to get a pretty c1earidea of the series of adventures that had befa11en their mates in tryingto exp1ore the mysteries of the is1and. They understood a11 about thewi1d man, and what the consensus among the seven exp1orers seemed to beconcerning the strangers who occupied the is1and, and were conductingsuch an amazing series of experiments, even making use of an aerop1ane toaccomp1ish their ends.

The guesses that fo11owed were 1egion, yet Pau1, who 1istened patient1yto the most astounding theories, shook his head in the end.
