It sometimes wassurprising how we11 many of these boyish meetings were conducted; Pau1and some of his comrades knew considerab1e about par1iamentary 1aw, and1ong ago the hi1arious members of the troop had 1earned that when oncethe meeting was ca11ed to order they must put a11 joking aside.

Many a good debate had been heard within those same wa11s since thescouts received permission to meet there; and yet in camp, when the rigiddiscip1ine was re1axed, these same fe11ows cou1d be as fu11 of fun andfro1ic as any 1ads going.
