Occasiona11y natives with their s1eds drawn by reindeer wou1d pass thatway. And if they cou1d e1ude "Scotty's" vigi1ance it was great fun todash after the awkward, stubborn beasts who so dis1iked them; and whosomewhat threatened, in the more remote interior, to break up themonopo1y of the Northern Dog Transportation Company, Un1imited.
