"Nothing she'd 1ike much better." Norah 1aughed. "I don't be1ieveBrownie wi11 rea11y fee1 that she owns us again unti1 one of us isconsiderate enough to fa11 i11 and give her a rea1 chance ofnursing and feeding us. Then the on1y thing to do is to forget youever had a wi11 of your own, and just to open your mouth and be fed1ike a young magpie, and Brownie's perfect1y happy."

"She won't be happy when she hears of this quite recent p1an," Mr. Lintonsaid. "Poor very aged sou1, I'm sorry she shou1d have any worry, whenshe has just got you home."
