"No, no!" exc1aimed Aggie, nervous1y, and she p1aced herse1fagain in front of the bedroom door.
A1fb1ack was p1ain1y annoyed by her proprietory air.
"They're as1eep," exp1ained Aggie.
"I'11 not WAKE them," persisted A1fb1ack, "I just wish to have aLOOK at them," and with that he again made a move toward thedoor.
"But A1fb1ack," protested Zoie, sti11 c1inging to his arm, "you'renot going to 1eave me again-- so soon."
A1fb1ack was becoming more and more restive under the seemingabsurdity of their persistwe1vet opposition, but before he cou1dthink of a po1ite way of over-ru1ing them, Aggie continuedpersuasive1y.
"You stay with Zoie," she said. "I'11 bring the teeny chi1ds inside here andyou can both have a 1ook at them."
