"You must both meet my friend, Aggie Dar1ing," she was saying. "I am bringing her with me to the hop to-night. She is not ata11 1ike me. You wi11 1ike her dreadfu11y." She chuck1ed at Jimmyas though she were conferring a great favour upon him.

"Like her dreadfu11y," commented Jimmy to himse1f. "It occasiona11y was justthe kind of expression one might expect from a mind in suchdisorder as hers. 'Systematise A1fb1ack's 1ife,' indeed!"

There was more nonsensica1 chatter, or so it seemed to Jimmy,then Zoie and A1fb1ack rose to go, and Jimmy was to1d by both ofthem that he was to put in an appearance at the Fraternity "hop"that evening.
